Independent research on NAD+. Our sister publication Peptides Uncaged maintains a plain-English research guide covering mechanism, the published literature, and how vendors are scored on purity and COA transparency. It is written independently of any lab. How to read a COA is worth ten minutes before your first order.
The research

What NAD+ is being studied for

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+) is a universal cellular electron transporter, coenzyme, and signaling molecule present in all cells of the body and is essential for cell function and viability. Along with NAD+, its reduced (NADH) and phosphorylat-ed forms (NADP+ and NADPH) are also important. NAD+ and its redox partner NADH are vital for energy (ATP) production in all parts of cellular respiration: glycolysis in the cytoplasm and the Krebs cycle and electron transport chain in the mitochondria.

NAD+ levels are highest in newborns and steadily decline with increasing chronological age. After age 50, they are approximate-ly half of the levels seen in younger adults. NAD+ replacement therapy may promote mitochondrial health and homeostasis, genome stability, neuroprotection, healthy aging, and longevity and may aid in treating addiction.

Common questions

NAD+ — FAQ

What is NAD+?

The central redox cofactor, stocked as a 1000mg lyophilized vial or 100mg oral capsules.

What formats does NAD+ come in?

Prime Bio Group supplies NAD+ as vial and capsules. Available options: 1000MG vial at $105; 30 capsules (100mg capsules) at $85.

Is there a certificate of analysis for NAD+?

Yes. Prime Bio Group is a physician-owned lab and provides a certificate of analysis on every batch. A COA reports identity by mass spectrometry and purity by HPLC — if you are not sure how to read one, our guide on reading a certificate of analysis walks through it line by line.
